Map Project Sketches

Heya, these are my sketches for the Map Project. I’ve attached the rough sketches and whatever I’ve started on Illustrator. Open to any comments, critiques and questions 🙂

My Map is going to be a map of the business district/downtown Utica and its going to feature the main places/sights of downtown utica as well as restaurants and cafes to go to.

  1. Hi Devika,
    I am loving what you have going with the icons and how they are breaking the boundary. I really like the second train one as it feels like ti has the most movement. Aside from that the only suggestion I have it maybe have to separate columns for the cafes and the restaurants to make it easier. I love the idea that you have going and I think it would be very helpful for people in or visiting Utica!

  2. I really enjoy the clean grid of your map! And I think that the lampposts bordering the key are super creative and add a lot to the overall piece. Can’t wait to see the end product.
